Bio
I discovered psychoeducation mainly through a job in a rehabilitation centre for young girls in difficulty (10-14 years old). I made three observations associated with the success of the interventions. First, the essential role of the relationship practitioners develop with these girls and their families, second, the importance of a stable and committed educational team, and third, the diversity of intervention needs in view of the resources available. Regarding this last point, it seemed to me that close and systematic follow-up of youth and families through research would be the best way to improve the match between needs and services-interventions in a context of limited resources.
My research has almost always focused on the longitudinal follow-up of youth and families in difficulty and receiving professional help, mainly psychosocial. The main idea is to better understand the diversity of needs, their correspondence with the means of intervention implemented and the subsequent development of youth and families. These studies therefore fall under Axes 2 and 3 of GRISE.
