Résumé

Schools’ rates of recruitment above the 95% confidence interval include the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM, 6.8%), the University of Calgary (6.6%), Université Laval (6.5%), and Université de Sherbrooke (6.3%). Other schools significantly below the lower 95% confidence interval include Western (4.0%), Queen’s (4.1%), and University of Saskatchewan (4.5%). In Canada, up until 2017, only the University of Toronto has had such a program, but this was discontinued in 2019. Since 2017, the University of Ottawa, University of British Columbia, McMaster, and Western have all introduced enrichment programs, of 3–5 days duration, for preclinical students to increase recruitment.
